The team tries hard this week to make sense of hybrids, hydrogen and fuel saving technology. In a world that is changing, is it slowly heralding the death of the petrol engine? One might think just that, but then the Volkswagen Golf TSI comes along; probably one of the most astounding cars to come along this year, but Trevor van de Ven won’t buy it, why?

Howzit guys. I haven’t posted in ages. Quick question. I wanna pay cash for a car and I’ve got 100-120k. New or used – I don’t care. It needs to be a city car mostly, but it would be nice to take for a drive now and then. I was thinking Alfa 147, but with my accountants pants on I’d look at a Toyota something-or-other. Suggestions?
